A Temple with a Symbolic Five-Story Pagoda

The large precincts are dotted with national treasures such as the famous five-story pagoda (a symbol of the ancient capital Nara), three-story pagoda, the Tokondo and Hokuendo Halls.

In the National Treasure Museum (Kokuhokan), you can always see the standing Asura, one of the most famous Buddha statue in Japan. This is a world-famous temple that was registered as a World Heritage in 1998.
