Chionji Temple is one of the three temples in Japan dedicated to the Bodhisattva Monju. It is believed that Monju brings wisdom and is visited by many students and their families. The temple gate facing Chaya Street is a Cultural Property of the City and is the biggest temple gate in the Tango area.
