Brewed by Kiuchi Brewery, Hitachino Nest Beer was named after the village in which it was born, Kounosu. With the Japanese kanji character “su” (巣) in Kounosu meaning “nest”, they call their brewery a nest for “beer enthusiasts who care for brewing” and claim that this is where their supreme brews with meticulous craftsmanship originates. Though they import their malts and hops from the West, they proudly state that they are making Japanese beer. Their aim is to create a refined synergy by matching and balancing every ingredient to make the perfect brew.
