Opened in October 2021, Terminal 2 of Kansai International Airport is a dedicated passenger terminal building for low cost carriers (LCC) such as Peach and Spring Airlines. The lobby and waiting area are bright and spacious, and the duty-free store is not only the largest in Kansai International Airport but is also the first walk-through duty-free store introduced in a Japanese airport. Since there are no walls between stores, customers can enjoy shopping while walking and looking over the products. In addition, the security checkpoint is equipped with a smart security system that significantly reduces waiting time.
