This is a museum where you can experience the various charms of the “City of dilicious food”, Wakasa Obama’s food through exhibits and hands-on experience. In the museum’s kitchen studio, visitors can try their hand at cooking with fresh ingredients from Wakasa or make your own souvenirs (*reservation required). There is also a Saba Street map boardgame for children to enjoy.
At the Wakasa Workshop on the second floor, you can experience traditional crafts. Try your hand at sharpening Wakasa-nuri chopsticks, making Japanese paper, and folding and dyeing. (Time required varies depending on the number of visitors. Group reservations are required.) On the third floor, there is a hot spring bath facility under the same concept for staying healthy.
