See Dugong In Japan's Largest Aqaurium

Toba Aquarium is one of the largest aquariums in Japan. The aquarium is divided into 12 themed zones, and visitors are free to explore the aquarium at their preferred pace and route.

Various sea mammals such as dolphins and sea lions can be seen in this aquarium. In particular, Toba Aquarium is the only Aquarium in Asia to see the dugong – it is said to be the model of the myths of mermaids. In addition, the tanks are decorated with coral reefs to recreate the environment of the rivers as closely as possible.

If you are looking for a more interactive experience, the walrus and sea lion shows held every day will give you an opportunity to view these sea creatures up close.
