You can enjoy various alpine plants from Japan and the world

Alpine Botanical Garden is the oldest botanical garden in Japan, opened in 1933. Approximately 1,500 kinds of rear alpine plants worldwide and plants in cold climates, and wild plants of Mt. Rokko are planted.The garden is located at 865m above sea level, whose climate is equivalent to the one in south Hokkaido. Mt. Rokko is such a precious area where seasonal Alpine plants can be seen in the suburbs area of the big city.
