A culture spot showing the history of "Miketsukuni" Wakasa food culture

As the primary facility for “food focused town planning” promoted by Miketsukuni Wakasa Obama, this museum is a home for relaxing gourmet food. Visitors can feel the many charms of food in Obama through exhibits and hands-on experiences.

In the built-in kitchen studio, cooking workshops and cooking lessons using fresh ingredients from Wakasa, as well as lessons on manners are conducted, helping visitors to better understand food and foster the spirit of hospitality.

On the 2nd floor visitors can also experience traditional craft making, and enter a hot bath facility installed to promote health, based on the idea that medicine and diet are equally important for a healthy body.
