Also known as the Sannen-zaka slope, it is a gentle slope with a stone pavement connecting Yasaka and Kiyomizu-dera Temple. This area is classified as one of the Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings. Shops selling popular souvenirs such as Kiyomizu ware and Nishijin brocade are found in every corner of the street giving a historical vibe to the street. Take a stroll from Ninnen-zaka to Nene no Michi, Ishibe-koji, and finally to Sannei-zaka―it is perfect for a short trip to explore the best of the area.
