Shigureden is a museum at the foot of Mt. Ogura-Arashiyama, where Teika Fujiwara was editing Hyakunin Isshu. It is possible to experience the diverse world of Hyakunin Isshu here. On the first floor of the permanent exhibition space, there has documentation with a theme of “seeing”, “feeling” and “learning” the world of Hyakunin Isshu, 100 dolls of the master poets, and the dioramas which remind you of the sceneries of the poems. On the second floor, you can also experience the costumes of the Heian Period.
