Immerse in the Ancient Times of Heian

Located at the entrance of Daimonzaka in Wakayama prefecture is Daimonzaka Chaya, a local tea house offering visitors an opportunity to rent and don the traditional attire of the Heian period. Daimonzaka Chaya offers a selection of courses that range from a simple photoshoot to short courses around scenic nature venues such as Kumano Kodo – an old pilgrimage route that stretches across Kii Peninsula.
