Rejuvenate in The Onsen of Wisdom

Right next to Amanohashidate station in Miyazu City, Kyoto is Amanoshidate Onsen Chie no Yu, a well-beloved relaxation spot known for their onsen variety and their baths for beautiful skin (Bihada no Yu).  The onsen’s name originated from their best wishes for their guests’ health and wisdom. With the Chie within the onsen’s name meaning wisdom and the Yu meaning hot water, the onsen’s name roughly translates to Bath of Wisdom.

Amanohashidate Onsen Chie no Yu has both indoor and outdoor baths, as well as baths specifically for hands and feet only – catering to all needs and wants of their guests. All of their baths also contain sodium, which is said to be a key component to having beautiful skin – making it very popular amongst women.
