A quick walk down the street from Osakako subway station waits one of the largest ferris wheels in the world. Located right next to the Osaka Aquarium and across the street from the scrumptious Kuma Kafe, you’ll find the Tempozan Ferris Wheel’s entrance on the 2nd floor of a huge shopping mall and arcade. For only ¥800, you can choose between 2 types of cars; the classic or the See-Through Gondola made completely of glass. Visit during the evening for a beautiful view of Osaka’s entire skyline and port and check the next day’s weather by reading the wheel’s nighttime illumination!
It is the world largest scale giant ferris wheel with 112.5-meter height. In a sunny day, it is able to see the Ikoma Range in the east, the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge in the west, the Kansai International Airport in the south, and the Rokko Range in the north. It is full of thrill such that the four sides and bottom of the car gondola are transparently see-through. In addition, the world first light-up show of the Giant Ferris Wheel was started since 2015, using the combination of direct and indirect lighting by LED light.
