The Hakutsuru Sake Brewing Museum
A Japanese sake museum that reuses sake brewery from the early Taisho era
Feel the atmosphere of traditional sake making
March 21, 2017

Hakutsuru is world famous, and this sake museum is one of the most interesting in the Nada area. It has been constructed inside an old sake warehouse, so has an authentic feel (and smell!). Among the displays of sake production tools and barrels, there are life-size mannequins engaged in the various processes of sake making. As well, there are recordings playing of the old traditional songs that used to be sung by the workers, which add to the evocative atmosphere. In the museum store, tastings are available, as well as a wide range of sake-related products. Sake jelly is always a favorite!
